The School of Civic Leadership, Littlefield Home at the University of Texas at Austin
The Civics Law & Policy Society seeks to foster intellectual inquiry and interdisciplinary dialogue. It aims to serve as a preparatory forum and promote the virtues of integrity, justice, and ethical reasoning for individuals pursuing a career in law and policy. The Society prepares its members for meaningful contributions to the field of law through intellectual fellowship, service, and philosophical inquiry.

The Society provides comprehensive support for its members through interview preparation resources, professional headshot sessions, and resume workshops. These resources are designed to equip Society members with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers. We aim to advance members' confidence and readiness for the professional world.
Research and Publication
Encouraging Scholarly Work
We encourage undergraduate research in jurisprudence and civic engagement. Society members will have the opportunity to submit their work for peer review and publication in a Society-sponsored journal, fostering meaningful contributions to the field of law.

Intellectual Fellowship and Strategic Argumentation
The Society hosts engaging small group discussions that foster intellectual fellowship and enhance critical thinking skills. Members will also have the opportunity to spectate engaging 1:1 debates, participate in an organized debate team Together, we explore diverse topics, share perspectives, and encourage meaningful dialogue.

Meaningful Connections
Members will have the opportunity to attend lectures featuring distinguished legal scholars and some of the nation's leading policymakers. Society members will gain meaningful connections with legal and policy professionals through these experiences. They will also be able to deepen their understanding of jurisprudence and policymaking.
